When Maurie returned from World War II, he married his high school sweetheart, Flaurie. Together, in May of 1948, they opened a hot dawg stand at Milwaukee & Devon in Chicago to work their way through college. Your friendship has made that stand grow into the most pleasant drive-in we know of anywhere.
We’re the same friendly family serving you today.
Our one goal always is to serve you in a manner that will make you want to return…and bring your friends with you.

On a poppy seed bun, we tenderly place the loveliest, juiciest creation of pure beef hot dog (no pork, no veal, no cereal, no filler), formally dressed with all the trimmings, escorted by our often imitated, but never equaled, Superfries™. Served with all the trimmings – golden mustard, tangy piccalilli, kosher dill pickle, chopped Spanish onions and a memorable hot pepper.
